One can avail either bus or train for the metropoli, which just takes 3 and half an hour by train and 5 hrs. by bus. The Regional Office of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan at Bhubaneswar is Just 200 Km from this town. The mail/Exp. Train takes hardly 3 and ½ hrs and non-stop bus 4 hours to cover the distance between Balasore and Bhubaneswar . Cuttack is only 170 Km from Balasore. Once the fourlane in highway is operational, the traveling time will be reduced by one hour. The nearby Kendriya Vidyalayas are at Baripada in Orissa , Kharagpur , Kalaikunda and salua in West-bengal . One can visit all these Kendriya Vidyalayas either by rail or by road.
